TCP-client mode. In this mode, the converter tries to connect itself to the remote PC with server software installed (eg Guard Light, ZProxy).
Network converter Z-397 Web has two RS-485 lines, one of which is electrically isolated from the other components of the converter. The converter supports the NVT (Network Virtual Terminal) open protocol and RFC 2217 for transmitting data and control via RS-485 lines.
Accessibility of use with any software designed to work with COM-ports is possible with the Z-397 via the use of a special driver on the computer system which has associated the virtual COM-port with the converter. Configuration and device firmware updates can be performed remotely (via Telnet) or when connected to PC via USB. The converter has a switch that prohibits remote change of parameters and settings increasing the security of the system.
